Foreclosure is at an all time high, and banks no longer want to lend money. We are now in what is referred to as a recession in the United States. The economy has not even begun to hit rock bottom. President Obama is working on ideas alongside congress on how to bring the United States back from what is soon to be worse then the scenes you may have looked at in history books of the great depression.
